I like dark roasts ("so dark, light cannot escape its surface" to quote the murderous French pastry chef from an episode of The Simpsons.) However, I will admit that dark roasts can taste burnt and bitter. This dark roast is sweet, rich and just perfect when made up as a six or eight ounce cup, at 174 degrees, set on extra strong. I add some evaporated milk and sugar and get a really great cup of breakfast latte. When I have time, I steam fresh milk and it makes a very good latte.Since this is invariably sold out or there is only one box left at our big box store that carries Vue cups, the 24 pack is useful. I can easily go through one of these in a month or less.Of all the Vue packs I've tried, I keep coming back to this one and enjoy every cup. It's consistent, and just the way I like coffee to taste.
